Project Description:

2D animated short for Animation Club’s summer 2025 Animation Jam. The theme of the jam was break and me and my partner redesigned one of my original characters for this project. I created a rough animatic in Adobe Animate and passed the first an last shot off to my partner to animate. I animated the second shot then edited the final shots together in Adobe Premiere Pro.

I recorded reference footage for motion an poses of each shot.

Animatic

Animatics for shot 1 and 3. I passed these off to my partner to complete the clean up.

Shot 2 Animation & Clean Up

I sketched out the movement of the punch using the reference for timing and poses. Then I did the cleanup animation with the details of the character for this shot.

Full Line Art Animation & Sound Effects

I edited the the line art passes of each shot together and added sound effects in time for submission for the Animation Jam. Afterwards we did go back and add color for a nicer look.
